Hey buddy - love ya man. What do you think about this verse/passage - (since you love theology so much I'd thought I'd ask) :

4 The Nephilim (lit. "Fallen ones") were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of men and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown. WITH:

Jude 6-7

6 And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their own home—these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day. 7In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire. (Jude 6-7) WITH:

18 For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit, 19 through whom also he went and preached to the spirits in prison 20 who disobeyed long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water, 21 and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 22 who has gone into heaven and is at God's right hand—with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him.

What do you think about that man? Like Genesis 6:1-4 with Jude 6 with 1 Peter 19-22? I have my views after reading for a while about it - but there is a lot there. I thought I'd ask you since you like theology so much - its fun searching the scriptures!

HAHAHA - "Couple of funky half-demon people" that was totally AWESOME. I think what happened post-flood is that the demons had sexual relations with woman again - but God had also promised never to destroy mankind like that again. So - I think that there were simply 8 people - then after some time period it happened again - the fallen ones left their place of authority given by God and broke God's law for them and they did the same thing. Weird stuff huh? I think if you want to find out some more one of the best books to find it out in is probably 1 Enoch or The Assumption of Moses maybe. Either way - Jude takes a small quote from 1 Enoch and maybe took something from the Assumption of Moses - dealing with the quarrel of Michael and the devil over Moses' body. But whats weird is that passage in 1 Peter 3:19-22 where it talks about Christ decending into the earth - not only to declare freedom for the OT saints - but also the declare judgement upon the "evil angels (spirits" locked in caves/etc. Really cool stuff man. I think those were the angels that were the Nephilim that did those things and God restrained them down there in caves and dark places - I believe called Tartarus. Really cool stuff. Many scholars believe all the Roman/Greek and other mythology really came from stories from these instances - of these hybrid people caused by demons leaving their spiritual authority and realm. Obviously it was an attempt by satan to stop God's plan from happening - by breeding people with humans so the Messiah's promise could not come true from Genesis 3:!5 "seed of woman" would come the Messiah to save the human life to be the Bride of YHWH. Obviously they failed - but how weird is that? I mean - God didn't come to die for angels (Heb. 2:17, James 2:19) - and the demons know that - so they tried to mix breed humans and themselves to stop YHWH's plan of salvation by faith for every human that believed in the Messiah/Christ. Amazing. Let me know what you find man.
